ABOUT STORYMEE

StoryMee is building an IP character universe with animation quality standards learned from the world's top studios – Disney, Pixar, Ghibli – but with a new era approach, where each character is an "emotional interface" connecting millions of audiences with their own stories.

We are looking for scriptwriters who will co-write those characters.

THE ROLE OF SCRIPTWRITER AT STORYMEE

You have the opportunity to build the soul of a character – something that will live on through hundreds of episodes, thousands of stickers, countless products, and memories that audiences will later associate with that character.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing new IP characters: personality, psychology, background, fears, dreams, speaking style, habits, relationships with other characters.
• Writing short animated series scripts (15s – 60s) for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and longer series on YouTube.
• Building Character Bibles and Content Pillars for each IP – foundational documents allowing the entire production team to remain consistent across hundreds of episodes.
• Designing series structure: character arcs, episode formulas, easter eggs, callbacks, recurring signature situations.
• Writing scripts to the rhythm of short-form content: hook in the first 2 seconds, payoff at the exact last second, every line of dialogue (or non-dialogue beat) must serve a purpose.
• Collaborating with directors, editors, and artists to turn words into images, motion, and emotion.
• Participating in building an AI-integrated script production workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, specialized skills for each IP) to scale up to hundreds of episodes per year while maintaining quality.

REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory:

• Love for animation and movies, quickly update trends, understand memes and digital content – and understand why you love them.
• Modern storytelling mindset: understanding why a 15-second video can make viewers laugh, cry, or share immediately.
• Ability to create characters with depth.
• Observe viewer behavior on TikTok, Shorts, YouTube and deduce patterns.
• Excellent writing skills, good linguistic taste, and charm.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in scriptwriting (short films, animation, sketches, content series, web dramas, podcasts, short stories – any format).
• Have built a character throughout a series and seen the audience truly bond with that character.
• Can use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as a writing partner, not just a button-pushing machine.
• Understand 3-act structure, beat sheets, character arcs – and know when to break the rules.
• Have personal projects: a content channel, personal stories, a blog, a podcast, scripts you've worked on.
