Animation Voice Talent
STORYMEE HIRING: VOICE TALENT – USE YOUR VOICE TO BRING A WORLD TO LIFE
Have you ever watched a foreign animated movie, heard a character speak, and secretly thought: "If only one day, a cat, a boy, a fairy... spoke your mother tongue – sounding so authentic – that people remembered that voice for a lifetime?"
Have you ever imitated the voice of a favorite character, then realized you could push it further – add a breath, a chuckle, a choke – and suddenly that character comes alive in the room?
Do you love the feeling of standing in front of a microphone, closing your eyes, and becoming someone else – a mischievous child, a toothless old man, an angry dragon, a girl in love for the first time?
If so, keep reading.
ABOUT STORYMEE
StoryMee is building an IP character universe with animation quality standards learned from the world's top studios – Disney, Pixar, Ghibli – but with a new era approach, where each character is an "emotional interface" connecting millions of audiences with their own stories.
We believe audiences deserve animated characters that speak naturally from the heart – not just a dub from another language, not a monotonous "technically correct" reading, but voices with breath, soul, and memory.
And we are looking for voice talents who will lend their souls to those characters.
THE ROLE OF VOICE TALENT AT STORYMEE
You have the opportunity to become the voice attached to a character – something that will ring in the audience's ears through hundreds of episodes, millions of views, and live in the memories of children, just like how the voices of Doraemon, Conan, and Totoro lived in our childhoods.
Responsibilities include:
- Voicing StoryMee's IP characters through short animated series (15s – 60s) on TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and longer series on YouTube.
- Building voice profiles for each character: timbre, rhythm, linguistic habits, signature laughs, breathing patterns, pauses – small details that make up the character's unique signature.
- Collaborating with scriptwriters and directors to understand the character's psychology before entering the recording booth – one line can be read in 10 different ways, and you need to know that the 11th way is the right one.
- Voice acting through a range of emotions: comedy, pouting, fear, anger, tenderness, bursting into tears – sometimes all 6 in a 15-second clip.
- Participating in auditions for new characters and giving input to shape the tone of an entire series.
- Working with a modern AI-supported production process – where your voice is the irreplaceable raw material, and AI helps optimize the post-production process so you can focus on acting.
REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory:
- Have a distinctive voice – doesn't need to be "broadcaster perfect," but needs to be recognizable. A voice the audience hears for 2 seconds and knows "ah, there's that character."
- Voice acting ability – knowing how to use breath, rhythm, pauses, and timbre to convey emotion, not just "reading the words correctly."
- Voice versatility: able to do at least 2-3 different voice types (child / adult / elderly, male / female, happy / sad, gentle / fierce...).
- Clear pronunciation, with a feel for language and knowing when to deviate from the standard to make the character more alive.
- Love animation, movies, understand why a line of dialogue can make viewers burst into laughter or fall silent.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in dubbing films, animation, commercials, audiobooks, podcasts, or fan-made dubbing.
- Experience in theater, acting, MCing, singing, or any form of vocal performance.
- Ability to make mouth sound effects: laughing, crying, panting, snoring, animal sounds...
- Can imitate regional accents.
- Have basic home recording equipment to send quick demos.
- Have personal channels: TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud – anywhere your voice is featured.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Today, AI has been able to create "technically correct" voices – clear pronunciation, perfect intonation, not a single wrong sound.
But AI cannot create that slight tremble in the throat when a character is about to cry. It cannot create the unique giggle of a 5-year-old child living in a Hanoi apartment. It cannot create the sigh of a grandfather who has been through war.
Those things require a human. We need you.
BENEFITS
- Work in a professional animation production environment with international standards.
- Opportunity to become the signature voice of StoryMee's flagship IPs – characters that can live with millions of families and beyond.
- Your name attached to the characters you voice – officially credited, not an anonymous voice.
- A young, open-minded team that values true creativity.
- Income per project or long-term collaboration, negotiable based on capability.
- For long-term collaborators: Full Social & Health Insurance, holiday bonuses, 13th-month salary.
BASIC INFO

HOW TO APPLY
Voice demo can be:
- A short 1-3 minute audio file demonstrating at least 2-3 different voice types (child, adult, elderly; happy, sad, pouty; or any combination you are most confident in).
- Links to products you have dubbed / recorded before (if any).
- Or simply: pick a dialogue from a favorite animated character, record it your way – not imitating, but acting the way you would if the character was yours.
PS: If your demo has a voice/character you are particularly proud of, note "listen to this voice first" and tell us 2-3 sentences about who you imagined that character to be, where they live, what their personality is like when they speak. We will listen to it first.
StoryMee – Where every character is a world, and every voice is a soul that stays with the audience.
